SBA Business Recovery Centers in Maryland to Close

ATLANTA – The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced today it will permanently close its Business Recovery Centers in Maryland on Friday, May 31. The SBA opened the Centers to help small businesses and non-profit organizations apply for Economic Injury Disaster Loans available due to the Francis Scott Key Bridge Collapse.

Until then, Customer Service Representatives at SBA’s Business Recovery Centers will assist business owners complete their disaster loan application, accept documents for existing applications, and provide updates on an application’s status. Walk-ins are accepted, but you can schedule an in-person appointment at an SBA Disaster Recovery Center in advance. The Centers will operate as indicated below until Friday.
 

Business Recovery Center (BRC) Baltimore County American Job Center 7930 Eastern Avenue Baltimore, MD 21224 Hours: Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Permanently close: Friday, May 31 at 2:30 p.m.

Business Recovery Center (BRC) Baltimore City CareFirst Engagement Center 1501 South Clinton Street Baltimore City, MD 21224 Hours: Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Permanently close: Friday, May 31 at 4 p.m.

Applicants may apply online and receive additional disaster assistance information at SBA.gov/disaster. Applicants may also call SBA’s Customer Service Center at (800) 659-2955 or email disastercustomerservice@sba.gov for more information on SBA disaster assistance. For people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have a speech disability, please dial 7-1-1 to access telecommunications relay services.

The deadline to return economic injury applications is Dec. 30, 2024
