Rebranding and Revitalization of Rockville Town Square: Welcome to The Square

ROCKVILLE, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Rockville's downtown hub has a new name and a fresh look: The Square. This change signals a renewed focus on making the space a vibrant, inclusive destination reflecting Rockville's dynamic spirit.

The rebranding is the first step in a series of enhancements designed to breathe new life into The Square. Among the changes are plans to attract new retailers, including the highly anticipated addition of Trader Joe’s (Spring 2025), along with other new tenants aimed at enriching the shopping, dining, and entertainment experience.

One of the most notable initiatives in the rebranding effort is a partnership with local creative and events agency, Viva Creative. This collaboration will bring the brand to life through innovative, interactive experiences, including vibrant murals by local artists showcasing Rockville’s unique flora and fauna. These artistic installations will celebrate the community’s rich culture and natural beauty, creating a sense of place that resonates with residents and visitors.
