NORTH BETHESDA, MD (August 30, 2024) -- Progressions salon spa store in North Bethesda, Maryland, is celebrating 40 years of business at their 12211 Nebel Street location in North Bethesda, Maryland. Founded in September of 1984 by successful businesswoman and entrepreneur Cindy Feldman, Progressions salon spa store is a prestigious full-service salon and retail store servicing the Washington, DC area with the highest commitment to excellence, guest satisfaction, and giving back to the community.

To celebrate this exciting event, Progressions is hosting a 40th Anniversary fundraiser to benefit JUST TRYAN IT (JTI), a nonprofit organization helping families with a child undergoing pediatric cancer treatment. Founded in 2010, JTI was created to positively impact the lives of families whose children have been diagnosed with cancer by providing financial assistance, education and navigation. In addition, the founders wanted to engage kids in helping other kids. Through children’s triathlons, JTI empowers healthy kids to seek out pledges and raise awareness of the many struggles faced by families with sick children. 

The JUST TRYAN IT (#justryanit) organization is near and dear to the Progressions team. Stylist Megan’s son, 15-year old Blake, was diagnosed in 2022 with Stage IV Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of pediatric cancer. As Blake courageously fights his battle, his family became involved with JTI to help support other families like his.

Progressions is hosting a special 40 Years/40 Baskets Raffle during the month of September. Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit JTI. Gift baskets valued from $100 to $300 are being raffled, and tickets can be purchased at $5 each or five tickets for $20 by calling the salon at (301) 231-8757 and online at progressions.com. Raffle winners will be contacted by phone in October.
