Holiday Party and Annual Meeting

The Greater Rockville Chamber of Commerce held their Holiday Party and Annual Meeting last night at Greencourt Innovation Center sponsored by Excluservice, the European Auto Repair
Expert in Rockville. Key Ingredients catered the event, Talk of the Town brought in casino tables and Prism Photo Booth added to the fun.

We thanked all in attendance including Councilmembers Barry Jackson, Marissa Valeri, and Adam Van Grack; City staff Linda Moran, Barack Matite; Acting City Manager Craig Simoneau;
and Richelle Wilson from REDI (Rockville Economic Development, Inc.)

We reviewed the chamber's accomplishments over 2023, adding 97 new members, and introduced our newest member Megan of Healing Hands Chiropractic Healthcare;
a new website, new logo, and tag line, and reviewed programs that were offered throughout the year.

We thanked our outgoing Board Chair, Laura Nash for her 18 months of service and thanked the event committee (Liz Wheeler Julich, Dan Helhowski, Joey Chambers) for their outstanding
volunteer board service.

We handed out citations from the Department of Commerce for years in business:

  • Herve Ngate – Seed4Future
  • Mindi Jacobson – Future Link
  • Steve Lahn – Advanced Nursing

We also handed out citations from the Department of Commerce to our 2023 Rockstar award winners:
  • Shane Senior of Cornerstone Montgomery for Young Professional of the Year
  • Robert Scheer of Comfort Cases for Nonprofit of the Year
  • Samantha Morash of Darcars for Large Business of the Year
  • Glenn Noble of Proudly Gives for Entrepreneur of the Year
  • Leslie Keenan of Intelligent Office for Small Business of the Year and 20 years in business.

We collected toys and gift cards for Community Reach of Montgomery County.

The top 3 winners of casino night were awarded prizes:
  • The basic logo design package from PIXLink Studio went to Ryan Malet of Shulman Rogers
  • Business Expo booth went to Tony Miller of Atlantic Coast Mortgage
  • A bourbon single cask from Twin Valley Distillers went to Kia Mandisa of Club Pilates

Door prizes:
  • 2 wine bottles from Coopers Hawk went to Patricia Peddiford of Peddicord Plumbing Services
  • Chocolate basket from Chouquette Chocolates went to Amanda Silva of Club Pilates
  • Our 50/50 cash raffle was won by Carlos Montes of House to Home Solutions.
Our last event of the year will be a meet-up at Mashita Bakery on 12/21 at 2:00 pm and our January lineup includes:

1/5 Lunch at Fogo de Chao at 12:00 pm 
1/25 Cocktails and Commerce at Clear Skies Meadery from 5:00 - 7:00 pm
1/17 Leader breakfast
1/30 Stakeholder dinner
