Sections and Nominations Coordinator

The American College of Dentists is a national non-profit membership association with the mission to advance excellence, ethics, professionalism, and leadership in oral healthcare.

Fulfilling our mission relies on a network of semi-autonomous local chapters, referred to as Sections, to carry out strategic activities. The Sections and Nominations Coordinator will work with leadership to expand our Section Development program and take our local efforts to the next level and serve as the liaison between the ACD Office and the Sections.

Medical, dental, vision, and a small life insurance policy are all 100% employer paid. After one year of service, the ACD also makes a generous contribution to employees' 401k accounts whether the employee contributes or not. An employee-paid cafeteria plan is also available through Aflac. PTO is generous and includes vacation leave, sick leave, federal holidays, and extra paid time off during special holiday seasons.

The Sections and Nominations Coordinator will:

· Liaise directly with Section leadership.

· Be responsible for the Model Section Program, which promotes excellence in Section engagement and management.

· Assist with Section Development initiatives.

· Serve as the point of contact for Fellowship nominations, process nominations, and support the committee assigned to peer review nominations.

· Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including answering the phone.

The ACD office is located in Rockville, Maryland, less than half a mile from the Rockville Metro Station, and adjacent to Town Center. Staff members usually work in the office four days a week with remote work available most Fridays.

Staff members enjoy a friendly, professional work environment focused on supporting and valuing our volunteer members, our Board, and our staff. Experience in a small office environment is helpful.
