Volunteer Day at Interfaith Works Essential Needs Center
The Interfaith Works Essential Needs Center houses both their clothing center and food pantry where residents in Montgomery County can come in and shop at no cost to them at least once a month. The work that volunteers do is crucial as they are the ones who help with sorting donations, hanging clothing items, organizing the clothing center, and stocking the food pantry.
Though there is not a minimum number of volunteers required, there is a maximum of 20 volunteers per group. However, in the past, we have made exceptions for larger groups (maximum of 40) but would have to have the numbers confirmed at least 3 weeks (Sept 1) in advance so that the regular volunteer shifts can be cleared and better accommodate our group.

Volunteer Guidelines and Information:
- Persons must be at least 14 years old.
- Closed-toe shoes are required while volunteering as well as weather-appropriate clothing. For safety reasons, flip-flops, crocs, and slippers are not allowed.
- We strongly advise leaving your personal belongings at home or in your vehicle as we do not have a designated space for your belongings.
