VisArts Rockville Arts Festival

Join us for VisArts' 13th Annual Rockville Arts Festival on Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4 from 10 AM–5 PM in The Square (Maryland Ave and East Middle Ln.)—rain or shine!

Discover artists and artisans from across the country, including returning award winners, fan favorites, standout local creators, and fresh faces. Explore unique works in ceramics, jewelry, sculpture, glass, painting, photography, printmaking, wood, metal, mixed media, and fiber—each thoughtfully designed and expertly crafted. Watch live demonstrations and experience artistry in action.

Follow the flavors with Auntie Anne’s Pretzels, Maryland crab cakes, and a lineup of crave-worthy food trucks. Wander the makers market for handcrafted finds—artful apparel, stylish accessories (for you and your pup), statement pieces for your living space and garden, indulgent soaps and skincare, and gourmet delights like small-batch sauces, teas, artisanal cheeses, handcrafted candy, and more—including special treats for your four-legged friend.

Make your mark at the festival’s third annual chalk art competition on Saturday, May 3 from 11 AM–3 PM—open to artists of all ages. Applications open April 11.

Explore thought-provoking contemporary exhibitions and installations at VisArts’ galleries, open 12–4 PM, featuring works by Eliza Clifford, Aisha Nailah White, Isabella Whitfield, and VisArts’ faculty and students.

Support neurodiverse artists at the VisAbility Art Lab booth, and stop by the VisArts faculty and student booth to see their latest work.
