Montgomery County Department of Permitting Services to Host Stakeholders Forum on Dec. 6
The Montgomery County Department of Permitting Services (DPS) is hosting a Stakeholders Forum for architects, builders, contractors, designers, developers, engineers, land use attorneys, permit expediters and other professionals on Wednesday, Dec. 6, from 8:30 a.m. to noon, at the second floor Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) auditorium at 2425 Reedie Drive in Wheaton. The first 30 minutes will be a meet and greet session.
Topics to be discussed include:
- Dashboards with target review timeframes and performance;
- Pending Building, Fire, Energy and Green Building code changes;
- Outcomes and recommendations from the Development Review Process Workgroup;
- New DPS vision, core values and initiatives;
- Impact taxes;
- Comprehensive fee study;
- Residential Fast Track Program;
- Small Business Permitting Program;
- Technology updates;
- Land Development Peer Review Program;
- Commitment to exceptional customer service;
- Community outreach activities, including the new DPS Podcast; and a
- Questions and answers session.
