This group is for employees and/or board members on non-profits who are members of the Rockville Chamber. It is a monthly group which meets to discuss best practices and topics which directly impact non-profits.
Hear from Carlos Aparicio, Community Services Manager for the City of Rockville about the City's grant program. Carlos will review factors agencies should consider prior to applying for a grant as well as tips for writing the grant application.
Carlos Aparicio is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works as the Community Services Manager for the City of Rockville. Carlos obtained his master’s degree in social work from the University of Maryland Baltimore and proceeded to work as a therapist and Community School Coordinator for several years. He has been with the City of Rockville for eleven years, with nine of those years in his current role. In his current position, Carlos oversees the City's Community Services Division which provides access to social services programs to Rockville residents. Included in his scope of work is a grants program that supports local social services nonprofits providing services to Rockville residents.
