Hints for successful Speed Networking by your Fairy Godmother of Networking, Patricia Dubroof, Assisting Hands Home Care
1. Be prepared: Have plenty of biz cards, brochures and maybe a give away ready to hand out as you settle into the table.
2. Don't be late! This is a closed session.
3.. Slow your speech. It's a noisy space and fast talking gets lost in the room.
4. Look everyone in the eye when you listen and talk!
5. Focus on one item and be sure to say your name and company name clearly. Once when you start and once when you end.
6. Say "Thank you" to your table mates.
7. This is a chance to meet someone and figure out if you can connect. The Real business starts when you schedule a follow up 1:1.
