In her capacity as Acting Director, Ms. Mitchem manages and leads a geographically dispersed contracting center responsible for enabling Army readiness and modernization by supporting Army-wide research and development efforts and mission-critical contracting for program executive offices, institutional Army customers, and the warfighter.  ACC-APG’s procurement expertise also includes foreign military sales, other transactions, cooperative agreements, depot-level maintenance, and grants.  Ms. Mitchem serves as Senior Contracting Official for ACC-APG with organizational contract actions averaging more than 25,000 annually, valued at more than $20 billion.
