SUMMARY:SOLD OUT - 35th Annual Rockville Public Safety Awards
DESCRIPTION:The Rockville Public Safety Awards\, now celebrating its 35th year\, pays tribute to those dedicated individuals who protect and serve the Rockville community. In collaboration with the City of Rockville and the Greater Rockville Chamber of Commerce\, this program recognizes the contributions of the Rockville City Police Department\, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office\, the Montgomery County Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation\, and the Rockville Volunteer Fire Department.\n\nThe primary aim of the program is to acknowledge exceptional achievements by the members of these public safety agencies within the City of Rockville. Furthermore\, civilians who have demonstrated extraordinary dedication to public safety may also be honored. We all benefit from the exceptional service provided by these agencies.\n\nThis year\, the awards ceremony will take place in person at the Lakewood Country Club on Wednesday\, June 5th\, at 11:30 am. Additionally\, we are continuing our tradition of accepting donations for the First Responders Children's Foundation\, which provides support to the families of first responders who have sacrificed in the line of duty.\n\n \n\n \n\nThe emcee for this ceremony is Joseph Olmo\, a reporter for NBC Washington. Every morning\, he helps viewers start their day with headlines from across the DMV. While some days are more lighthearted than others\, often times Olmo reports from the same scenes that many of YOU show up to. Everyday\, he sees the bravery and selflessness it takes from public safety professionals to confront some very challenging situations. He is honored to emcee the Public Safety Awards and highlight those in OUR community who will always answer the call when help is needed. \n\n\n\nTo donate directly to the 1st Responders Children's Foundation\, please use this link.
