DESCRIPTION:Our speaker at Rockville Rotary's weekly meeting on April 21st Thursday is Joni Keaton from Rebuilding Together Montgomery County. Joni is responsible for building community partnerships and supporting the outreach and development efforts of the organization. Originally from Rockville\, she returned to the area after graduating with dual degrees in Ballet Performance and International Studies from the University of Oklahoma. She dedicated a year of service as an AmeriCorps member with RTMC and subsequently joined the team as a staff member. With an ongoing passion for the arts\, she also continues to dance professionally with Gin Dance Company in Northern Virginia.\nRebuilding Together Montgomery County (RTMC)\, a member of the Rebuilding Together network\, opened its doors in 1990 and\, over the past 30+ years has worked to provide free critical home repairs\, energy efficiency upgrades\, and accessibility modifications for Montgomery County's most vulnerable residents   seniors\, veterans\, people with disabilities\, families with children\, and members of marginalized communities\, all living in low-income households.\n\nRTMC has helped more than 2\,600 homeowners throughout Montgomery County and engaged more than 50\,000 volunteers who have dedicated their time and talents to helping their neighbors. Thanks to the dedication of volunteers\, community partners\, local businesses\, and staff\, RTMC continues to provide services to hundreds of vulnerable homeowners every year.
