DESCRIPTION:The Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) is hosting a workshop to discuss recycling market development in and around Maryland.\n\nMDE's goal is to understand complexities relative to emerging markets on recyclables\, furthering business development for recycling and recyclable products\, and encouraging opportunities for innovation related to recycled materials. The Recycling Market Development law has no regulatory oversight and is focused on expanding markets and business in Maryland and its surrounding regions. \n\nRecycling Market Development law was adopted in the 2021 legislative session and calls upon MDE to collaboratively work with Maryland Department of Transportation\, Maryland Environmental Services\, Maryland Department of Commerce\, Maryland Department of General Services and the Northeast Maryland Waste Disposal Authority to promote the development of markets for recycled materials and recycled products in the State. \n\nMDE is asking for YOU to join the conversation and help to catalyze the future of Maryland's Open for Recycling Business!
