DESCRIPTION:Nonprofit Collaborations: The strategy behind teaming up\n\n\n\nHeidi Webb and Denise Fredericks\, both Certified Fund Raising Executives\, will co-present on the benefits of collaborating with fellow nonprofits including best practices and defining the terms of the partnership. \n\n\n\n\nHeidi Webb\, CFRE started working in Fundraising in 2000. She began her career securing 8(a) minority status for government contract-seeking technology firms\, and helped land these companies multi-million dollar contracts with the Department of Education and the Department of Defense. With a strong familiarity with the philanthropic and broader donor community in the Metro DC area\, Heidi Webb is experienced at building a strong case for philanthropic support. In addition to her work\, she volunteers extensively. She is President of the Rockville Rotary Club\, Chair of the Development Committee on the Board of the Center for Nonprofit Advancement\, and an adviser to the Unfunded List.\n\n\n\n\n\nDenise Fredericks\, CFRE\, is director of development for Mercy Health Clinic. She is a nonprofit professional with over 20 years of experience\, including specific expertise in fundraising and donor relations\, creative collaborations\, grant writing\, and program design/evaluation.  Denise has previously served as executive director of Stepping Stones Shelter and philanthropy manager at Montgomery Community Media. She earned her Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation in 2016\, and holds a BA in English and Communications from SUNY Geneseo (Geneseo\, NY).
